One last time…

I wish I could get a vanilla wafer or orange slice from the cabinet…just one last time.
I wish we could have a Sunday dinner with the whole family…just one last time.
I wish I could hear “Awww Evie”…just one last time
I wish I could sit on the porch steps…just one last time.
I wish I could carry the water buckets down to the pigs…just one last time.
I wish I could jump the garden fence…just one last time.
I wish I could say “Hey beautiful” and see her get embarrassed…just one last time.
I wish I could tell them I love them…just one last time.
I drove by their house Sunday, and beeped the horn…just one last time.

If children are a “gift” from God, then Grandparents are a “treasure”.

I’ll see you both in Paradise…

Dear Wilson, Janie and Family,

I was deeply saddened by reading about the passing of your loved one. We all know that we've been put here to glorify the name of our Lord and Savior, and I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that your Mother had to be the perfect vessel through which the Truth was passed. Know that I love you, and that I will pray for you and yours in your hour of bereavement. My had Aunt taught me a comforting bit of Scripture - I'll pass it on to you with a purpose. It's fron the Book of Isaiah, Ch 26 V:3, and it reads as follows:
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee."

She passed on Feb 27th, 2009 and I've heard the small bit of Scripture repeated about a dozen times since, Coincidence? I think NOT!!

God Bless.

Love,
Brownie

Mommom Evie was the best grandmother anyone could ever have. She taught me the best recipes that would make Paula Deen scream! She truly loved her family, as she watched her kids, her grandkids, and her great grandkids and given the chance she would have watched her great-great grandkids. Her love will live on forever in all of us. I miss PopPop Wilson and Mommom Evie, they have passed on their love, kindness, and their trust in Jehovah God to many in our family. I look forward to seeing them both in a paradise on earth where none of us will be sick and death will be no more, and Jehovah God will make us all perfect. Love ya, Toy

July 22, 2010 was the saddest day of my life. That was the day I lost my mommom Evie. I will never forget all our fun times together...our ice cream Tuesdays in the summer or our Friday nite date nights when we would order take-out and watch movies and our weekly trips to the grocery store. She was not only my grandmother but one of my very best friends. She will be missed greatly. This is truly a heart-felt loss.

Be Blessed. I went to school with your mother and we were best friends. We grow and go separate ways, but the friends we have from childhood stay with us forever. Memories of your mother's kind and quiet ways remain with me unto today. You have my deepest sympathy.

Connie and Family,
So sad to hear of the loss of your mother, there are no words at this time to express your heartache. I know because I lost my mother in February. My prayer for you and your family is that God will give you strength to make it one day at a time.

Dear Haman Family,

I am so very sorry about the loss of our dear Sister Haman. We will keep your family in our prayers. We pray that our Powerful God Jehovah calms your heart and mind, while helping you to cope with this tragic loss. We know very soon times will be better, but until then, Jehovah has you by the right hand. (Isaiah 41:13) He will sustain you and help you. Our family sends our love and we will keep you in our prayers. Keep remembering that these things are temporary. Jehovah is a Wonderful God & is Faithful. He remembers everything Sister Haman has done for Him. He knows her deeds & the love she has shown for His name.
XOXOXOXO,

To our family: We will all miss Aunt Evie. She was a kind and caring person as evidenced by her and Mary taking a 12-hour bus ride to Columbus to check on her sister Maggie, when she was battling cancer. She loved all of her sisters, and missed them dearly - now they are all together! Candi is right - Aunt Evie would not let you leave her house without making sure you had something to eat. Her iced tea and coleslaw were the best I have ever had. Mary, Cubby, Wilson, Shirley and Connie -my love and support will always be here for all of you.

Family, words cannot express how to feel in times such as this. I will always remember Aunt Evie as (Sarah Ann) my Mom's little sister; so kind and smiling. Also, when we would visit as little kids, she would not let us leave until we ate 'something'. Yes, those were the days..... Now she is with Uncle Wilson and the rest of our family in heaven. God Bless You and Keep You Forever More. Love Always - Cousin Vanessa Haman (a.k.a. Candi)
